Heavy Delight is a Springfield, Illinois–based band formed in 2024, blending soul, funk, R&B, and jazz into a groove-driven, distinctly Midwestern sound.

Featuring Nate Cozadd on guitar and vocals, Reid Muchow on drums and vocals, Trey Tholen on bass guitar, and Chris Miller on keyboards and synths, Heavy Delight draws from a wide range of musical influences to create energetic, danceable live performances.

Rooted in the spirit of jazz improvisation, Heavy Delight balances musical freedom with tight rhythms and classic grooves, making the band a standout in the Illinois and Midwest live music scene. Whether performing original music or extended jams, Heavy Delight delivers soulful melodies, deep funk rhythms, and an atmosphere that keeps audiences moving all night long.
